QUICK RED CLAM SAUCE
2 Tablespoons of butter 1 Tablespoon of olive oil 2 Cloves of garlic minced 2 Cups of minced clams with liquid 1 Cup of tomato sauce 1/2 Cup of dry white whine 1/2 Teaspoon of salt 1/8 Teaspoon of ground black pepper 1 Tablespoon of chopped parsley 1 Teaspoon of sweet basil
Heat butter and olive oil in a saucepan. Lightly Saute the garlic. Add clams, tomato sauce, wine, salt, pepper, parsley and basil. Stir well and simmer uncovered for about 10 minutes. Serve over hot cooked and drained linguine with grated parmesan cheese.
